Von Furstenberg will sponsor the Beach Report Card

Heal the Bay Environmental group have gone on record with a partnership between themselves and Alex von Furstenberg, a philanthropist and member of arrow Capital Management LLC. He will donate $150,000 to Heal the Bay’s ‘Beach Report Card’ program during the next three years. It is the only thorough analysis of sea water quality in the state of California. All beaches will be marked between A and F according to their safety for swimming and bathing.

Also, Alex von Furstenberg has agreed to become a sponsor of ‘La Soiree’, which is an event held in order to benefit and promote the Heal the Bay along with something called the ‘One Drop Foundation’. ’La Soiree’, will exhibit the premier of the Cirque de Soleil’s KOOZA performance, and there will be a fantastic after party on the Santa Monica Pier on October 16th.

Alex von Furstenberg is a well known and renowned philanthropist, being the director of the Diller von Furstenberg Family Foundation, a board member of Friends of the High Line, and a non profit partner of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. His Family foundation supports great causes world wide.

Furstenberg showed his feelings about the Heal the Bay Beach Report Card by immediately backing the program as soon as he had met with president Mark Gold. As Furstenberg is a resident of Malibu Gold was thrilled to team up with such a well known local philanthropist for this worthy cause.
